President Presented at WER Arena

On June 27, Croatia local time, World Educational Robot Contest (WER) 2017 Croatia Championship took place at the Zagreb Museum. More than 500 contestants of 100 teams from science and technology-featured schools competed in the contest. Croatia government paid great attention to it. The President Kolinde Grabar Kitarović, Chairman of WER Croatia Organization Committee Nenad Bakic and Blaženke Divjak, Minister of Education all presented there. The President Kolinde Grabar Kitarović addressed an important speech and spoke highly of WER’s promotion to local scientific and technological education. (President of Croatia presented and addressed speech) Beforehand, Chairman of WER Croatia Organizing Committee Nenad Bakic had discussed with the national educational departments and made sure that WER would be a key project of Croatia science and technology information education to be promoted. It is acknowledged that the WER Croatia Champion still adopted the theme of 2017 “Industrial Age”. The projects were majorly brick construction and programming, which attracted local adolescents’ enthusiasm. Through the educational robot study and contest, kids’ and adolescents’ study, communication, cooperative and creative abilities are trained while their scientific and technological literacy are enhanced.
